Students fight 60-second "body shots" in bathroom to avoid getting caught

Instead of fighting in the hallways at school, students at Humboldt Junior High take their conflicts into the bathrooms and do “60-second body shots,” in which one person gets to hit the other one in the body or face for 60 seconds without the other person fighting back.

VIDEO: Cloggers and teen step team "Steppin Out" of cultural differences

An inner-city high school step team, the DeLaSalle Delasouljah Steppers, and a group of Appalachian cloggers, the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers, combined their dances into a fusion performance Dec. 5-7 at the Southern Theater in Minneapolis to show that the similarities in the two cultures’ dances also exist in the people who dance them.

VIDEO: At-risk youth now on track to become lawyer

Richard Terrell, 21, was the kind of junior high student that was more interested in fighting than studying. But with the support of his grandparents, who fostered him and his siblings, and other strong support, Terrell didn’t fall prey to the troubles that claim so many at-risk youth. Today, he works multiple jobs, including an internship at a prestigious law firm in downtown Minneapolis, and dreams of one day becoming a judge.
