Don Shelby Roast/ Widening the Circle Award

To honor Don Shelby’s retirement and ensure that his brand of rigorous and fair-minded journalism continues, ThreeSixty Journalism will host a retirement roast and fundraiser in Minneapolis on October 8.

Some 260 leaders from Minnesota journalism, politics, corporations and communications will gather at the St. Thomas law school to celebrate Shelby’s career, chuckle at his eccentricities and support ThreeSixty’s work to pass on the skills and values of outstanding journalism to the next generation of Minnesotans.

Roasters will include former Sen. Norm Coleman, former WCCO anchor Pat Miles, radio personality Jeff McKinney and explorer Ann Bancroft.
