Chaos, coffee and construction

Tags:

For the past two months, the ThreeSixty office has experienced many sounds that would make the average person run out of the room – from thumping that sounds as if our ceiling is going to crash through to the high-pitched screeching of metal grinding against concrete. However, Lynda, Annie and I have braved the loud noise and dust because we knew that one day soon, there was going to be an “Aha!” celebratory moment.

This moment is the day that the local coffee shop will open a kiosk one floor above us in the library. Yes, that is what I said, gourmet coffee one floor above ThreeSixty’s newsroom.

Besides coffee so close at hand, another perk to the chaos is that for the first time since we have been in this office, maintenance has had a particular interest. With all of the plumbers and construction workers working alongside us for two months, we have finally seen light bulbs replaced, a new stall door and new ceiling in one of our bathrooms and a general interest in the inner workings of our office. It does not take much to please us.

To boot, aromas of coffee started to waft into our office this week. Coffee bliss is near – next Wednesday the coffee shop opens up. Sure beats walking a couple of blocks for a cup of joe on dire winter days.

The point is, come and stop by for a visit. Not only for a cup of joe, but also to hear about all the wonderful projects we have been working on. It is never a boring day at ThreeSixty, and soon we will be wide-awake to enjoy it with you!
