Getting ready to launch!

As February rushes by, ThreeSixty staff members occupy every second getting prepared for the launch of our new website on March 1st. The preparations include building and organizing the infrastructure/navigation of our website to ensure optimal user-friendliness. However on our end, that means we are all knee deep in two and a half years of content.

When we aren’t going crazy trying to decide if an article should be labeled under “cosmetics” or “teeth whitening”, we are busy conducting research about the Census – studying data from the past hundred years to see how life has changed over the years in Minnesota. Annie is busy working with teens preparing their own articles on the Census while I will be diving in next week creating graphics for the articles. All of this has to be done by March 1st as well to be ready for the launch of the website.

On top of all that work, we are also frantically going around and visiting high schools and career fairs to advertise for upcoming News Teams and summer camps.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I told you that we would be wide-awake on coffee because of the new coffee kiosk upstairs? While I was half kidding, it has certainly become truth. From their grand opening, Lynda scored a coffee mug which Coffee Bene provides a discount for every time we use the cup for their coffee. This has become the office community cup for discounted gourmet coffee to keep us awake and thriving. I have always been about saving money and as Lynda told me earlier this week, she loves “working with a fellow cheapskate.” Besides, this way we are saving nature one tree at a time.

So in between tagging, research, sipping coffee and bathroom breaks, ThreeSixty has been trying to stay sane. However, our minds aren’t the only things buzzing right now – we are super excited to launch our new website and Census content in just over a week. Yikes, less blogging, more tagging… Ciao!
