Asma Adam

School: Al-Amal School
Grade: 12th
What is your ideal future career? I hope to major in biochemistry and attend a medical school to become a pediatrician.
How many languages do you speak? Three – English, Somali and Arabic
Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Hassan from The Kite Runner because he is loyal to the main character, Amir, and it is later revealed that they’re brothers.
What do you do for fun? Read, watch TV, surf the web and write.
If you could interview a celebrity, who would it be? Oprah because she is a great philanthropist and also an extremely powerful woman.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Perfect memory, which will help me get through medical school.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Spain and Italy because of their history, Mediterranean climate and scenery.

Andy Monserud

Hometown: South St. Paul, Minnesota
School: St. Paul Academy and Summit School

What is your ideal future career? I’m not sure. I’m thinking about law.
How many languages do you speak? Two – English and French, though my French is not quite fluent.
Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Huck Finn from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
What do you do for fun? I play the guitar, read and hang out with friends.
If you could interview a celebrity, who would it be? Bruce Springsteen. He’s probably the only “celebrity” I really follow.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I’d cause everyone in the room to stop and think.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Somewhere where there are very few people.

Corey Kramer

What is your ideal future career? Photojournalism
How many languages do you speak? One – English.
Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Aragorn from Lord of the Rings because he has potential and is spiritual.
What do you do for fun? Play hockey.
If you could interview a celebrity, who would it be? Britney Spears. She has had a rough life and I would like to know how well it has worked out for her.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? The ability to fly because there’s no traffic and it’s much faster.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Germany. I have done research on it and it seems interesting.

Dan Baden

What is your ideal future career? Editor of a newspaper, possibly manager.
How many languages do you speak? Two – English and French.
Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Alex Rider. He has amazing capability for a teenager.
What do you do for fun? Play multiple sports, like longboarding and snowboarding, and do physical activities.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I would turn invisible to have more freedom.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Paris, to revisit and eat some good food.

What is your ideal future career? Journalist.

Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Gandalf from Lord of the Rings because he has cool insights and ideas.
What do you do for fun? Soccer, read, climb, explore, write, chill with friends, bike, run and swim.
If you could interview a celebrity, who would it be? Morgan Freeman. He’s amazing and seems calm and would be cool to know more.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? To control earth because everything came from it.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Wales. I love the language and the land looks stunning.

How many languages do you speak? One – English.
Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Mariam from A Thousand Splendid Suns because of her self sacrifice.
What do you do for fun? Draw, write, read, photography and sing.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Shrink so I could sneak in and eavesdrop.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Anywhere out of the country. I’ve never been out.

Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? Harry Potter because of his magic powers.
What do you do for fun? Play soccer.
If you could interview a celebrity, who would it be? Tyra Banks because she’s been through a lot.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Fly, it would be fun.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? The Pacific Ocean. Oceans are deep.

What is your ideal future career? Something in journalism or communications.
How many languages do you speak? Two – I speak fluent English and took three years of Spanish.
Who’s your favorite character from a book or movie? This kid named Quentin because he reminds me of me.
What do you do for fun? I hang out with friends, play video games and play sports.
If you could interview a celebrity, who would it be? I would interview a famous athlete because I really look up to a lot of them.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I wish I had psychic powers like Professor X because he makes it look really fun.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would go anywhere in Europe because it’s nice anywhere there.
